A 6 year old kid was clearly troubled by the fate of trees during war time. He had watched a movie on TV where trees were in danger of being 'blowed up' as he put it...he was apparently very upset about this...

"The poor trees during wars and stuff. You see, trees can't move. If they get bombed that have to stand there and take it. It really isn't very nice...no, not nice at all. I feel sorry for trees...it's too bad for them.

   If they don't get blowed up, guess what? Well it can be smokey around them, Yes, it's true...then the poor trees can't breathe too good. They need to breathe you know. Yes, it is true...

 So you know what? We gotta help them...then they will like us more. They won't be afraid of us no more. They can see we are helping them, then we can be friends. Sure...I would like to be friends with a tree. Sure I would...then you can name the tree you like, but you know what? You can't train a tree like a dog...you can't. Trees don't like it when you try to train it. Nope...no way Jose'. They don't like it. Besides...you know trees don't move. Nope. But still, you can try to train them anyways. Sure you can...but don't get your hopes up too much...nope. Cause you will be sad they don't listen to you. No, they don't. I know because I tried to train a tree I adopted...but it didn't listen to me.

   But you can't get mad. That's how trees can be...they don't like being bossed around, ok? It's true but...they get mad and then really don't listen.They just stand there, ok? Sure...

   Just don't call them names or use bad words around them, ok? They don't like that very much. Well some might...but a lot don't. You won't know which tree doesn't like it....but they will get mad at you then. So be careful, ok? Cause you don't want a tree mad at you. I mean...who would anyway? Treat a tree right and then they'll be your friend, ok? Always just be friends, ok?? Then they'll like you more...because you're that trees pal...then always be a friend to a tree, ok? Just don't go and blowed up a tree..its not nice at all.

OK....that is it, ok. Be nice to trees...and they'll be nice to you, ok? Sure....
